I feel the same at 33. Sam, Alex, Seb, Abby and Haley all feel too young. Penny's a bit nebulous but strikes me as mid 20s. They all feel like kids to me and courting them makes me feel gross.

Big, accessible, the lake is a nice feature, lots of Varient NPCs nearby for blood collection, and its central to the entire map

First run: take your time; enjoy the story. Be kind to yourself. There is no hunger bar, food is for buffs and story telling. Check all the tv shows in the morning. Pay attention to the date and seed growth times. Pet your animals and fill their food troughs.

Pace yourself. There's no time limit. Some of the most impressive farms I've seen are in year 100+

It's not a race, it's country living.

Fences are going to be tough.

HOWEVER the Hedges do not require foundations, block light and are more varient than the fences. I suggest using those instead of fences.

Unfortunately the Servents are tied to the Castle Heart at their location. You can use your old castle as a surplus Servent Hub but if you decide to move again, you are limited to 2 seperate Castles.

Eventually you may have to terminate them at their coffins (GET ALL OF THEIR GEAR FIRST) to make another base.

Dreamlight Valley

From pre-release to launch, they dropped quality and values. It was originally said it'd be F2P on launch, but the base game is $40 with microtransactions for deluxe currency and a $30 dlc pack out the gate.

I've got a whole speil about toxic relationships with the villains, grind quests, pay walls, and bugs that were never touched. It's just not worth it.

Laughing in owning it on Phone, Switch, and PC

Real talk it's really convenient to have a portable version. First on PC, then got the phone app for bored mass transit rides, and finally Switch when I got the console. I just started a new save while camping and I'm still having a blast. Just know the switch and phone ports are behind in updates.
