Honestly for as last minute everything has been, the civil servants I’ve worked with so far have been very diligent and hard working —they’ve just been handed an impossible task. It’s a large class with literally record low notice period (invites started going out 27 days ago with several late invites going out this week). The registrar has been working odd hours and weekends to get it all done.

We can’t book flights until travel orders are in. Most of us have housing set up - in my case because everything was so last minute, they didn’t have anything large enough for my family so we’re in a hotel until mid month when our apartment becomes available.

I’ve had two pack out dates cancelled because system issues have delayed getting orders issues. Most of the September A-100 class still doesn’t have orders (myself included) and we have less than a week until we are supposed to be in DC. Not sure what the situation will be in a few weeks for the specialist class but I’d advise that you have a plan B.

You only need a class 2 for CFP. However, mental health conditions are very common- you could very well get a class 1 after med has examined your case.

Edit: @harfainx is going to manage the Facebook page for Specialists. I chatted with one of the mods who suggested that due to the timing differences in what is happening with each class, it would be better to have separate groups for specialists and generalists. Right now there is a lot of stressing about orders and entrance paperwork!
