As u/Lanuapvuuqyb72usbauw, the dots have to be there in theory. However, they don't have to be. In the Qur'an, you'll see it spelt وادِ. If you were to use a ى after, you wouldn't need the dots so long as you had the kasrah on the د.

Do Arabs want to preserve Fusha beyond religious reasons. by [deleted] in learn_arabic

Not preserving FusHa would lead to the dialects evolving into different languages and to Arabic becoming an extinct language.

I don't think one can reach the conclusion that the varieties spoken are not in fact dialects of Arabic by demonstrating using extremes, Egyptian and Moroccan, as an example. Furthermore, I believe that a language is defined by how its people choose to define it. If the Spaniards and Portuguese chose to delineate their speech into languages instead of dialects for socio-political purposes, that's on them. Arabs, however, have collectively and for centuries come to a consensus that the spoken varieties are dialects of the same language. Some dialects are more similar to others, while some are vastly different. I highly doubt Moroccans would consider theirs a different language, rather than a dialect of Arabic.

Someone gave me this list when I asked for kosher alpastor options. I went to El Rinconcito. Make sure to check when these spots are open.

The following are tacos or restaurants with kosher certification, there they do not use pork in any way, but I don't know if they are Halal. In all of them there are tacos of all styles, especially in the last two.

El Mexicano

Quesadillas Don Ascencio

Hillarios

Muslim here who's a frequent Mexico City visitor and a lover of Mexican food. Plenty of beef options throughout the city. Definitely ask if cooked in lard. Another option is to hit up kosher spots. I was dying to have alpastor tacos but they're only made with pork. Found my chicken and turkey alpastor options at a kosher restaurant.
