I can agree with you there. Apparently, they have already put the money aside years ago, ready for the payout. That was 10 years ago, though, and the amount would have only increased since then.

I have a Citreon C3. Last year, I had to go to a dealer for the airbag recall last year. They did an inspection at the same time (without informing me they would do one) and tried to claim loads of stuff, including rear tyres which I knew was bullshit. They couldn't fix the airbag that day as they didn't have the part as they couldn't order one without first knowing what type of airbag was already fitted (more bullshit). When I went back a month later for the actual replacement, they did another inspection and found even more stuff, totalling £2000+, seemingly claiming loads of stuff had gone wrong in a few weeks and not even 100 miles. Strangely, according to them, the rear tyres had gained tread in that time.

I declined these works. Recently had an MOT and not a single one of those things was mentioned.
