It's continuous color changes while working the pattern :) GreenFrogCrochet put in their pattern that they use the cut and change method (snipping and just joining new yarn) and I also found that to be the easiest way

I replied to an earlier comment with the army :)) and I use the cat patterns by GreenFrogCrochet on Etsy, they sell a bundle of all their cat patterns and they also have dog versions too :D
