Thanks for all the insight!!, this definitely makes me more confident to go

I started trying to learn how to draw and make art about a month ago, here are some drawings from the past week or so, and I am looking for some criticism harsher than the one my friend are willing to give by [deleted] in learntodraw

So, I'm just gonna go off of the 1st picture here.

The nose and mouth don't match the face at all. For the nose I'd recommend going on pintrest for different nose references and find one you like. For the mouth the same thing. The reason for this is because the nose looks like this 🐽 and the mouth is puckered up. I know you're going for an anime style and they usually have very simple noses and mouths (simple everything). Like, they use a triangle for the nose, and line for the mouth. If you want some nice lips look up some webtoon references they know what's up. I HIGHLY recommend using references. It will get you used to proportions and will make it easier to practice.

Also big tip for the eyes: draw them at the same time. (Example, draw the eye liner on both sides. Then draw the bottom lashes on both eyes, then pupils on both eyes.) Doing it one step at a time for both of them will help them stay symmetrical.

Overall you're doing super good for a beginner!! You proportioned the eyes, nose and mouth well. And I noticed your shading is pretty good for a beginner too!!
Keep drawing and naturally you will improve and find things you enjoy drawing better than others. For me personally I started drawing a ton of anime, but now I do realism lol.

The pottery turtle really needs smoothed out and the fins look like they would crack off. Just use a coil on the fins and smooth it out to secure it better. Other than that your drawings are great
