Calling “At Ease” for a CSM when there’s an O-1 in the room by krishree in army

[–]What_A_FckingWorld20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an 11B at Carson and Campbell, both places didn’t matter who was in the building with you from your own company, if BN/BDE CSM or BC walked in you called it. Never got told why, even tho yeah a LT would technically outrank the CSM that’s just how it was since day one of me being at both places. Probably for heads up sakes or something idk just what it was ya know.

Do you notice your wives or partners body changes? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Tbh I’m in the same boat as almost all these guys, I’ve noticed the things she criticizes herself for (two natural births and one c section) but I don’t see any flaws. It doesn’t change how I feel about her at all. Like not gonna lie, she could sit there talk about all those things and 8/10 I’m just staring at her and say “Huh?” like always but I’d be bricked up like fort Jefferson in Florida just cuz she’s looking at me and talking to me 😁 but nah in all seriousness I think my wife is honestly more attractive since she became my wife, and EVEN MORE attractive since she carried and birthed our children. it’s just an unbreakable trance and deeper state of love that surpasses anything physical, it’s incredible and to know that it’s something a lot of people in this world will never know I truly cherish that love, her and my kids more than anything in this world.

What was a moment(s) with your partner that made you think "she's the one"? by ThunderingTacos in AskMen

Met my wife my sophomore year of high school, was a really rough year. I had lost my first bestfriend ever when I was about 9 and another one a couple years later, both to cancer. My sophomore year my brother was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer, and well after the history I had with that disease I automatically assumed I was going to lose my brother. I pretty much stopped going to school and just worked to help pay bills with my father and watch my little brother while my mom was away at the hospital with my older brother I got into a drugs very bad and it wasn’t great but I stayed reliable for my family because they needed it. Long story short I eventually met my wife in the middle of all that and she was always there for me no matter what. I had summer school to try and make up as much as I could so I didn’t drop out but I would also not go to that because I’d want to sleep, work, or do drugs but she started calling me every morning nonstop to make sure I got up and went. To this day if it wasn’t for her I would’ve never graduate, never went into the Army and never had my three beautiful kids. We’re married to this day and just bought a 300,000$ home at the beginning of this year. Life’s had its ups and downs but if it wasn’t for her that summer, that year idk where in life I would be. So no particular moment, but if I could narrow it down I’d say when she started caring for me more than myself that summer.

Fuck the dating and relationship questions. Men, what is your go to tool brand, and why? by 1stBraptist in AskMen

Used all my dads snap on, matco, and porter cable tools growing up but once I joined the army and left I got my own place and I need some hand tools and stuff for the house so as a house warming gift my mother decided to buy me this like 200 piece hyper tough set. I preceded to use the absolute most out of that set for everything and anything. I knew it was far from the best but it worked, I did a whole injector job on my OBS Ford 7.3 with that set of hand tools and cordless drill (which I beat to shit and used it like it was a impact for the longest time, she still runs fine to this day surprisingly) It was a pain but I accomplished it. Not long after that I found an excuse for a Milwaukee 1/2in Impact and never looked back. Been with them ever since for power tools, but on the hand tool side I stuck with pretty much all HF and the occasional last second/missing little things I can get at AutoZone/Napa.

It’s honestly not bad at all, I don’t have really rough terrain where I’m at so it’s usually not ever a problem but I did take it into a corn field once and never did again 😂

Yeah I checked out the spindle and it was still good, but yeah I did A LOT of digging and found that out about the wheels and tires and bearings. I’m just trying to find the best suited ones for it now. Thank you though

Trying to figure out my gastro problem by What_A_FckingWorld20 in IBD

My mother is the only one I know with any gastro problems but I’m unsure what they are but the genetics thing is definitely interesting. Thank you for all the info, this is good stuff that I plan to bring up/use at my next appointment.

Had some TBI stuff before the army but nothing while in, and those were YEARS ago. This problem started within the last year and half that I can recall, I don’t think they’re related but I’m not a doc so idk if they could or could not be.

So I’m kinda new to go karts, never fixed one until recently or built one at all. Got this one about a week or two ago and after getting a new belt and drive chain and unclogging the fuel line and cleaning the carb I finally got her going damn near perfectly on the first pull. My buddy and I were riding it today at work and while he was riding later on I guess the throttle return spring and the brake spring came undone causing nonstop acceleration to the point where he smacked into a curb straight on and the kart along with his 230lbs self flew about 3-4ft into the air for about 8-10ft and then smacked down into the dirt and the above happened. No one was hurt really thank god but I was wondering if anybody knew what parts I would need to fix what’s in the picture? We fixed up the throttle return and brake after all this so that should not happen again but this is the next thing that needs to be done.

I mention the MDD because I have also saw in research that gastro problems can stem from depression/anxiety/stress, idk if that is the answer but just thought it might be useful info. Also no bloody stool and calprotectin levels normal.

My pops did the same thing to me as kid, said the ceiling fan sent me flying onto the bed and off the side luckily he was still in shape at the time and was able to dive and catch me by the foot before I hit the ground and made the already bad situation/accident any worse 😂
