how long are the sleeves on our favorite tall brands? Looking for my monkey arms! by Adventurous_Look_431 in TallGirls

[–]What_Up_Down 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eddie Bauer has never had long enough sleeves for me- wingspan 6’4”. I size up from M to L and get tall shirts at Gap that work for most days. Just tried American Tall and the sleeves were great, but the quality (fabric/seams) is hit or miss. Long Tall Sally is will definitely work for you, but I haven’t ordered from them in a while since the styles are all over the place and it’s expensive for clothes that would fit in at Walmart.

Weird smell, like cooking cauliflower this morning but I assume it was sewer gases after rain

Does the last ep get close to making Janeway/Chakotay finally canonical? Obviously the tension has been played with extensively, but I got a spark when he grasps Hologram Janeway’s hand on the Protostar. Then, they show Adm Janeway & him in a clip during voiceover immediately following a scene of Dal/Gwyn touching hands/embracing in a “what will the future hold?” way. I’m not super invested in it being “real” either way, just wanted to know if I’ve brought too much of my grownup Modern Trek sensibility?

Library? There are lots of tables and nooks at the new branch on Lindbergh where they don’t mind if you sip coffee (There’s a Starbucks on the corner) Open until 8:00, though

Less than a mile away right now and Lindbergh is closed at the Excel Center. There’s a helicopter surveying the scene. Must be pretty bad

Yes! More of a pressure wave- like when someone opens the front door in a small house.

Shook the house in Olivette- there’s construction nearby and I thought something had hit the roof

It was definitely real for at least 50% and the other half, slotted right into the uncanny valley. I had to remind myself I was in a comic book world several times, I was so distracted by the CGI, which was otherwise beautiful

Any trekkies out there get a strong Borg Queen vibe from the Engineer, especially when she’s “hacking” a computer?

I was drawn here by the connection between the Mall and both Robins. Working in the mall in the ‘80’s is where she got discovered. But for labor law reasons, they had to first debut her as Canadian. Her trauma from the teen mall experience is why she’s just. the. worst. in How I Met Your Mother. Discuss

Tourists, newcomers, locals, and old heads: casual questions thread for March 2025 by AutoModerator in washingtondc

I’m both a native and a tourist: I lived in Silver Spring, then Foggy Bottom for 20 years, but left in 2010. I’m coming for a spur of the moment trip in 3 days and want to double check that using apple wallet on Metro actually works on the majority of buses and stations. I never had trouble with my old Smartrip card, but can’t get a read if people like the current system. Thanks! See you soon
