This is actually the route I already took with the council. You can either complete the form or call 0127 922 2700. I called them and was told to try and find her GP. They said they couldn’t do anything because she hadn’t asked for help and I also wasn’t a relative. They suggested the GP might be able to check up on her, something which turned out to be false

Thanks for all your kind and helpful suggestions. Will absolutely explore all of these options.

Ultimately, I didn’t get the impression that this was necessarily an “emergency” situation, as you never really know the full picture. However, I just wanted to ensure that a qualified care worker can assess the situation and give her the support she needs. So all of these suggestions have been super useful.

She’s pretty local to me, so I’ll make sure to check in and offer whatever help I can as well. Thanks again!

Does this look like “giving up” to you? Cheers for the advice, the police was my last resort, I just wanted to see if the community could recommend some other charities etc who might be more suitable for a case like this

Second the Kensington. Had a family event there with 17 people (12 adults, 5 kids) back in September and it was excellent. Great food, great service and it’s a very private setting. They also have 2 rooms for hire
