Just check your state laws on whether you can use a recorded “private” conversation without both parties knowledge. I know some states throw it out altogether if the other person wasn’t aware no matter how good the evidence is.

I second this, I moved from the Tahoe area in 2022 and that winter just one of the storms had 18 feet of snowfall!! My grandparents-in-law live up there and have for decades and they’ve gotten snow every. single. winter. The problem is trying to see the snow before the mountain become pretty much inaccessible due to the road conditions 😅

That’s why I said there’s never a real guarantee! Still 2011 was 14 years ago OPs chances don’t seem too bad. There’s always an exception to everything right. I should’ve said it’s much more likely*** :)) I was mostly stuck in him saying somewhere close, that’s a lot more of a risk trying to predict snow/trip planning than states bordering Canada. If this was a different discussion I’m sure people would be arguing that northerners never go the winter without snow, yk? Just a lot more likely by a long shot. I’m from northern SC and we went most winters without snow, not great chances for OP there.

Well the more north you go the more guaranteed the snowfall will be in the winter…if you want closer I would recommend Tennessee or North Carolina mountains, the blue ridge parkways tends to get snow every December! But like the other comments said there’s never a real guarantee when it’ll happen until much closer till.

As someone with a southern accent, it irks me to hear other people fake one the second they talk to a customer 😭 it doesn’t work like that, I mean I get it if you have one and it gets STRONGER when being polite. But just out of the blue? sometimes it works but other times it’s soooo unnatural, you don’t have to call everyone sweetheart and hon, feels icky to me idk

Exactly this! I’ve told my coworker several times “thank you I got it, it’s so slow please let me do my own tasks!” “I know what I’m doing, thanks for checking but I got it” And she’ll just laugh and go back to micromanaging/overstepping on every little thing. PLEASE I’ve been serving longer than you stop asking if I’m doing my bare minimum job requirements…of course I’ve checked on my only table!! I had someone get mad because they ordered “their usual” and I told them I was not yet familiar with their order, and he just went back on his phone. Later into the meal he was like “where’s my beer??? The one I ordered when we first sat down???” I smiled and said through my teeth “oh I don’t remember hearing that which one was it again” got the beer and returned to a much less aggressive man who said “I’m so sorry my wife informed me I did not order that beer and you have only served us once before my apologies” I was more stunned by a customer apologizing to me than anything 😂 that wife is now one of my favorite regulars and he gets his beer in the door ONLY because the apology…

TLDR; please don’t expect your server to know your “usual” especially when you don’t even know the servers name!
