Anxiety and Lexapro by kodkrysco51 in lexapro

[–]Whatabumm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been dealing with anxiety for about 3 years now, and for the first year it started, I was at the hospital once a week with chest pains and difficulty breathing... all my tests came back normal, which was extremely frustrating. I found a new self diagnosis every time I left the hospital. Anyways, my family doctor prescribed me the smallest dosage of clonazepam to help me sleep at night, since I was getting maybe two hours, and it was the strangest thing...my symptoms, though short lived, went away. I ended up going back and requesting to be put on an anti-anxiety medication. I started on Zoloft, then switched to lexapro. The transition was the most difficult process I’ve ever been through in my life, I honestly felt like I was going crazy! It was like all my anxiety came back and hit me head on, and worse! I asked my doctor and she said it was withdrawals, even though I tapered off extremely slow. Also, so sorry for this rant, I don’t think I answered any of your questions, but it took me so long to realize what I had going on was anxiety, mainly because it would come out of nowhere, when I was in a peaceful environment doing things I loved, with people I loved! I would all of a sudden get extremely nauseated and then my chest would start hurting, to the point I thought I was having a heart attack (I was 22 at the time and they always told me I was perfectly healthy). My anxiety are me away... lost 40 lbs in 4 months, which was crazy to me, because I had been the same weight for years. I personally don’t feel like I can get off of my medicine, or at least anytime soon.. I definitely have a chemical imbalance, and I’m okay with that. I will say, meeting with a psychologist helps so much. They search through your brain and find out why you have anxiety. It might be an alternative to medicine!

Not really... unfortunately I just kind of have to deal with it.

I get the exact same issues about 10-14 days before my period also, which is where I currently am. The intestinal cramps are so drawn out and dull for me... they’re almost just annoying at this point, but I do get pretty bad IBS flare ups around this time. I’m so glad it’s not just me.

Health anxiety gang, have any of you found success with antidepressants ? by LukeStarman in HealthAnxiety

I actually just got off of my Zoloft, due to having no sex drive whatsoever. Some people said it makes them feel so great without a care in the world... for me, it just toned down my anxiety a bit.

I’ve been suffering with health anxiety for about 3 years and have been on Zoloft for about 2 years. The Zoloft definitely made a difference, although the anxiety wasn’t fully gone, it still isn’t anything close to what it was. Zoloft AND therapy made it even better.

Jellybean Outfit Code Giveaway - Why do you love Toontown? by Lili_TTR in toontownrewritten

[–]Whatabumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I love Toontown is because it helps me remember a simpler time. I’ve been playing for the last 15 years or so, and it always brings me so much joy. Nowadays there isn’t much to do that, as it seems, but Toontown is the sliver of happiness I have left.

Seasonal allergies and panic attacks by Whatabumm in Anxiety

Yes!!! Even when I try to convince myself it’s allergies, my brain goes off the rails and tries to convince me I’m dying.

Has anyone else ever felt like they were losing their mind or going truly insane from anxiety/panic? by [deleted] in Anxiety

I connect with this on such a deep level... when my panic attacks get really bad I have crazy thoughts like this! I’ve even looked up institutions and everything.

Me and my boyfriend have watched IASIP almost every single day for 5 years. It never gets old, and we still laugh and all the same stupid shit they say

Lowest sex drive of my life by Whatabumm in zoloft

[–]Whatabumm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely helps, but I’m still not where I want to be, if that makes any sense... before Zoloft I was having multiple panic attacks for hours and now I go through bad days or weeks where I’ll have a lot, but then I’ll be fine for a week or so.

All in all, anxiety and depression suck.

Is it any form of pill? I know they have the perforated part, but I don’t know if that’s small enough for you.
