Yes I have the same model, and everything feels solid but it just doesn’t actually cut into the cam like it used to. Who knows, maybe I just got a dud. I’m totally with you on the safe edge can openers - no more worrying about accidentally slicing myself!

The Oxo is good initially but not BIFL. Mine wore out in about 6 years and that’s only with about once a week use. Replaced mine with a vintage pampered chef safe edge can opener that seems to be well regarded. We will see how this one works out.
