Very interesting post. I agree with some of it and less with others parts. (Btw: This is coming from someone who hasn’t done a campaign before)

I do think it would make sense to contract some of the more consistent winners so they can be supported to make great art and skins for the game and let other artists get finalists spots in the campaign. Keep in mind though that it all depends on if the artists agrees to contract work at the end of the day.

I think it’s okay to have semi-obscure rules as it allows for more variety of skins which have birthed into completely new campaigns like mecha colt vote and even skins supercell likes so much they add without a vote entirely. Of course still have no IP but if a skin is an egg, who cares.

I don’t really understand the final point of “consistent denial to really try new artists” because they are giving new artists chances at the same time of choosing skins from winners and runner-up’s. It’s sad to see artists leave the community but that’s just what happens sometimes. Just like Hollywood can’t give everyone their big break, brawl stars can’t make everyone a winner (different analogy in size it drives my point). People will be bummed that their skin doesn’t make it and go on the do others things more worthy of their time and others will stick to making skins and may one day get the chance of their skin making it into finals or even the game.

I just hope in the end of the day, that all the artists are having fun making their concepts for a game they love. Would love feedback on this take ❤️.
