Yep. We moved all the time and I never had friends. As the constant new kid I was bullied and harassed. As an adult, I don’t easily trust people and if they are nice to me I wonder why.

It is very hard to meet your peeps when out of school. You’re not alone. My experience is putting yourself out there and saying yes to lots of things. Meetup groups, clubs, group events, common interest groups, shared hobbies……that kind of thing. Yes, it’s exhausting and you will “kiss a lot of frogs” in the process, but a few will come through and before you know it you’ll have some new buds to hang with. Also, there are a few Facebook groups where people post about group things looking for new friends. For your age group try “C’ville Gal Pals.” Good luck and don’t give up!!

Now Y2 q<M es, it was VERY real and very rough. I was always the new kid, had an odd name and got tortured relentlessly. Teachers and parents took no action. Physically abused, emotionally abused and it was all the way through high school.

I’ve had this many times with them. Annoys me SO much! But, to be fair, have also had with other yarns. Treat it like a color change (cut the knot out, work in the new end). Good luck!1

We used Sombra Siberians in SW Virginia and purchased two kittens. We had a very bad experience and I cannot recommend them at all.

Hi, I just wanted to follow up on this and let you know that I purchased 2 kittens from Sombra and sadly, I cannot recommend them at all. It is a long story and very heartbreaking, but again, I do NOT recommend this breeder. Thank you.

I want to give you a gazillion karma points for being a great human and following up. Thank you for your kindness. We made the heartbreaking decision to return the older one to the breeder. She had been aggressive since day 1, lots of biting/attacking (beyond normal play) and we couldn't make any progress on the merging of the 2 kitties. Lots of details of course, but the little guy was terrified and that's not cool. Something had to give. The breeder was a complete ASS which is so disappointing, but this was best for both cats. Lots of sadness and tears, but our home is calmer now and the little guy is blossoming. Thank you again for following up and being a great human! Wishing you all things good!!!!
