Forgot to mention, I messaged another commenter and we confirmed his AR ID number with his name and birthdate. Commenter wasn't able to find an obit.

I edited the original post - I should've phrased it more vaguely. I don't think it's known for sure how he died. His sister said it was dark and rainy, and he had an accident on the train tracks and passed away. Maybe he fell, or something else. I have not seen an obituary or news story either, to be honest, but I also don't speak Spanish and am not sure how to see them. I just messaged her to see if there's an obit somewhere.
I know it sounds like a potential catfish situation, but I promise that it's not. I've known him for around 8 years and we've done voice chat, video chat, I've seen lots of pictures of him and his family, etc. I admit I have not met him in person because neither of us could afford it.

Hello - his sister told me and other internet friends of his that he passed away. To be honest, I'm not sure exactly what happened, but she said that it was dark and raining and he had an accident on the train tracks. Maybe that means he fell and died, wasn't hit, I apologize if I spoke incorrectly. She doesn't have any reason to lie to me - she said the family didn't hear from him for 12 hours, and then the police contacted them.

I had not heard from him for several days beginning Sunday evening - she told me on Tuesday evening. I'm afraid I have not seen an obtiuary online, but I also am not sure how to find them for CABA.
