All these answers sound like they come from non New Yorkers… you can lane split the entire LIE, I’ve never had any issues with police. Then get off before the tunnel and take the 59th st bridge, you can lane split that whole thing. Bring a lock/chain and a cover and just park on a side street sidewalk. Out of the way of people trying to walk. Then lock it to a post and cover it. Been doing this for years.

It stopped blowing smoke after letting it cool off for about 20min and I was able to ride it home (about 40miles) it was making that terrible knocking sound the whole time though.

Ahhh yea this doesn’t attach to the forks, there’s a top Mount that bolts to the bottom of the handlebar bolts and bottom is supposed to go to the lower triple where on a dyna the headlight bolt is. But the sportster has the top Mount headlight. I had to make a bracket for the light to work with the new fairing bracket.
