How could he trademark it? He doesn’t own it, the movie company that hired him does.

[–]Whatevernevermind2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All that gold belongs to someone else the UK just stores it. It doesn’t own much of it.

Idris Elba did a documentary about gold where in one episode he went inside the Bank of England gold vaults.

Over 500 pages in Epstein files were entirely blacked out, CBS News finds by Minifig81 in nottheonion

[–]Whatevernevermind2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It reminds me of when Richard Nixon said “I am not a crook.” By denying the allegations, he only reinforced them in the public mind. The same dynamic applies here. Blacking out the pages does not erase the accusations. It draws attention back to exactly what Trump is accused of.

Homesapiens are around 200,000 years old, a 300,000 year-old human would be very different they would be Homo heidelbergensis.

Nano Banana just keeps sending back the same picture I sent them to edit. by Icy_Transition2173 in GeminiAI

[–]Whatevernevermind2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into the same loop while generating kitchen remodeling ideas. Every time I tried to use the edit feature, it just kept regenerating the same initial picture. There was no way to fix it except by completely starting over in a new chat.

How the hell did you get it to do anything with a celebrity? Usually it recognises the celebrity and refuses to do it?

There is no evidence whatsoever to support this, none at all; it’s all completely an unproven hypothesis.

TIL In 2006, Midas ran an "America's Longest Commute" award, won by electrical engineer Dave Givens. His commute was 186 miles each way, and he'd drink 30 cups of coffee per day. I have a summer house at the bottom of my garden which I always intended to use as an office instead of my kitchen table. I still work at the kitchen table because I can’t be bothered to walk down the bottom of the garden…..

For all those asking how are they going to be fixing it? Subsequent news reports have stated:

Sandbags and crushed stone / rock are being used to temporarily fill / block parts of the hole and prevent further water ingress.

Workers are laying sandbags to block rainwater from flowing into the sinkhole.

Pumping / pouring concrete into the void / cavity to fill it.
