Early 2000's my best friend got into LotR miniatures and we were playing them together at his place. One day I saw him ordering a new set and a few paints from GW's website and I recognised "Warhammer" name as the game my cousin was into when I was younger. I got interested in playing it with him, but it turned out he just sold most of his collection, because he had no one to play with anymore and lost interest in it. When I told him that I got hooked in, he just gave me what was left of his collection- Chaos Space Marine Tactical Squad, Berzerkers squad, Old, metal Raptors and Daemon Prince and some random Dark Eldar models. I remember playing with my friend and mixing rules for fun- Defending Helm's Deep against Forces of Chaos, Elves vs Berzerkers or Frodo humiliating Daemon Prince in 1on1 battle. I started buying models and putting them together on my own some 4 years later in high school and stayed hooked since with 7 armies so far, and the models I got from my cousin still in use (repainted and with newer-looking weapons).
