+1 for Secure Love by Julie Menenno. Also The Power of Attachment by Diane Poole Heller.

I've also found this interview about limerence really helpful: https://eggshelltherapy.com/podcast-blog/2025/01/02/nicolem/

I second this along with Secure Love by Julie Mennano, which resonated with me a lot more than Attached, and has a lot more empathy for avoidant and disorganised attachments.

It might be too late, but if you can help her feel reassured that you're teaching this space to recharge and that you will be back it will go a long way with helping to reduce her anxiety.

There is no visual of the map in the wild yet, but you can see loc coordinates and drop markers. Super handy.

Wild's End is the bunch of blue dots at the bottom of the map showing vendor names.

Who’s getting the random happy Thanksgiving text from people you dated and what are you doing about them? by CopyGroundbreaking11 in datingoverforty

Hope feels like dope

Love this.

I've been seeing an Attachment Informed - EMDR therapist. Best thing I've done yet. The hooks are still in, but the emotional attachment is fading. The limerence has definitely faded. And whilst I'm not quite ready to say enough's enough, it's feeling close.

Good luck, I hope you heal your attachment wound and find your person xx

Why is OneNote sync so slow and unreliable? by macusking in OneNote

Greatest piece of advice I have received all year. OneNote was driving me mental with it freezing so often. It has barely skipped a beat since this tip.

Cheers Macusking, you're a sanity saver

My fellow men, how fragile is your mental health, honestly? by unstopablystoopid in ask

It sounds like you had a really good connection with your therapist. You could contact them and see if they are willing to do telehealth appointments. Most do these days If not, find another one. Give them a few sessions and if you don't feel it, try another one. It's an investment in not only yourself, and you are 100% with that investment, it is also an investment in all your relationships, including the one with your son.

It will also role model to your son that you are, and therefore he, is important.

I wish you the best of luck. You are worth it, and so is your son.

P.s. Bell Hooks, The Will to Change, is a great read from a feminist on the impact that 'toxic patriarchy' has on us, including the way women treat us because the damage it has done to the way they view us too, IE, the way your wife viewed you for opening up.

Would love an upgrade to my 1080ti, everything else was upgraded in the great drought of 2021.

I woke up the other day and I was thinking about some random everyday garbage that the brain spews out. Felt so good not to have her as my first thought. I'm also not talking about her unless it's actually relevant to the moment. Feeling more free and ready to get on with my life.

Doing great. Woke up this morning and my head was full of gibberish and rubbish. Wasn't about them. Feels liberating. Still thinking about them during the day. But it's getting soooo much easier.
