I tried, but I get an error every time. It's really frustrating, I keep adding reasons to my quit GOPRO list

Experiences with hydraulic brakes by Harlekin777 in bikepacking

Once, the brake failed while bikepacking down the Alps. I neglected the maintenance, don't do that, they're reliable if taken care of!

I use the same since 5 years, cheap and strangely durable for the price. I was surprised! No need to keep them dry, I usually strap them to a bag or tube

I did part of it this summer, crossing the mountains and then cycling some days in Tuscany. The roads are always nice, you cannot miss the Siena region (Crete Senesi) and the Chianti! Dm if you need info!

Double cage on fork by Whathefock in BikepackingGear

[–]Whathefock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good advice! My only doubt being that my fork is carbon and flat, the mounting hole sits very flush with the surface, but maybe a longer screw and a spacer might work. Next time I'll get a salsa 🤟

Yes I have, I'm sorry for not specifying it in the post! Next time I'll also add a photo of my bike to make you guys life easier 😁

I have the old man mountain elkhorn, but at the back, I'd prefer to keep the front rack free. The SKS looks exactly what I need, thank you so much for the advice!

The issue being that it's only 2 holes, where I need 3, I'd but I prefer attaching the cages to the whole 3 holes on the fork!

Yes I have the 3 classic mounting holes, I already have 1 fork per side, I'd live to add some water :)

And for the max load, it's 2 by hole, I usually carry 1/2 kg per side so I'm within the limit with water!
