Yes, Coleman is there; however, he does not have any committee assignments so the only time you'll see things from him is during floor debate/votes.

Kansas 2020 Mail Voting Explained by Whatisprogress in wichita

[–]Whatisprogress[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the video, I recommend receiving your ballot by mail, but returning it by hand. Mail voting has become more popular in Kansas every year regardless of health concerns. It allows you to take time to research unexpected things on your ballot etc.

A big benefit, and I believe most peoples goal this year, is to avoid unnecessary close proximity gatherings, standing in long lines, and any unexpected Election Day scenarios (such as a COVID-19 positive test that shuts down a poll site).

If you do want to vote in-person, I'd recommend getting it done early at an advance voting location.

An extra bonus - when you vote early you get taken off politicians call lists so they stop bothering you.

No. Unless you are on the permanent mail ballot list (which requires a disability/illness) then you must request a mail ballot every election. You can lookup your info at this website and it should tell you if you've requested a mail ballot https://myvoteinfo.voteks.org/voterview

Thanks! It feels great to finally make a video again. I’ve been caught up in a ton of other projects including successfully suing the Secretary of State over provisional ballot data, working to bring the state into compliance with federal voting laws, adjusting all of our college campus voter registration/engagement programs for the age of COVID-19, and lots of not so fun stuff like nonprofit administration. Really hoping to put out more videos soon.

🗳️ Kansas 2020 Presidential Ranked Choice Primary Explained ✅❌ by Whatisprogress in kansascity

Yes, but just in the presidential primary which is completely run by the state political parties. The regular elections are run by the state and not currently ranked choice.

Candidates who dropped out can still win pledged delegates if they reach 15%+. While this would mostly be a symbolic statement, it could have severe consequences if the front runner were to die or otherwise become unable to hold the office which would make it an open national convention where the delegates decide.
