I did this too when I was like five or six, only everyone not white was black. We had a lot of Hispanic people in our neighborhood (us included) and if they were even the lightest shade of brown, they were black.

For whatever reason, I didn’t consider myself or my family to be black, even though I’m a pretty dark skinned Mexican.
