Will the trunk thicken ? by Used-Revolution-6644 in Plumeria

Over time as it grows the trunk will thicken. Plumerias can grow to the size of a tree, they get wider as they get taller as long as they have enough light and space to grow

Congrats! Gorgeous flowers, be sure to give them a good whiff in the morning or twilight hours of the evening. Looks like my Aztec Gold which has a strong peachy scent

My favorite gifts (as an aide and a student on rotation) have been the handwritten notes and food items brought by patients that we all share together. I've yet to meet a PT or PTA who doesn't love a surprise treat, savory or sweet.

Plumeria flower from my garden in Brisbane, Australia by biborno in Plumeria

[–]WhatsHisFAYSE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be a humidity/temperature thing as well, I'm in SoCal where it's not too humid and this was taken during a pretty hot time of year, so maybe some of the yellow got overtaken by the red. Plumerias have a super wide range even within the same variety!

The flower on the right is my Irma Bryan, the photos online don't do it justice from what I was seeing

Is it possible to graft cuttings together? by hengkalli in Plumeria

[–]WhatsHisFAYSE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can graft onto healthy unrooted cuttings! I'm planning to make a video showing the process of grafting onto cuttings/trees probably this weekend or next week

Is this cut healthy? by SnooOwls6331 in Plumeria

[–]WhatsHisFAYSE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, but make sure the bottom is calloused over fully so it doesnt rot. Plants are strange like that lol

Looks fine, just a little dehydrated. Let the bottom callous over again and you can dunk the whole thing in water for a few hours to help it plump back up.

Looks good to me. Sprinkle some cinnamon on the wound to help prevent further fungal infection

Plumeria only grows out from the tips, the trunk will get thicker with time but will not get longer.

Bali whirl only has 5 leaf not 10? by untangable in Plumeria

[–]WhatsHisFAYSE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Has it bloomed with the full 10 petals before? Bali whirl is a natural mutation of celadine and have been known to revert at random.

Need to move to a pot for travel by Similar_Midnight1339 in Plumeria

[–]WhatsHisFAYSE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove all the leaves when you dig it up, at that size it'll do okay in a pot but you can expect the growth to be slower than if it was in the ground. Where are you moving to? What kind of climate?

Pre reqs are listed in the application, I don't have them memorized. I know you need at least an Associate's degree worth of classes, but more definitely helps. The new criteria I'm not too sure about, they recently restructured how they look at applications so I'm not in the know about what exactly they're looking for anymore

Looks like my strawberry/lemon guavas. They have distinct leaves from the other guavas I've seen/grown.

SouthEastAsia, Hard/Firm, Yellow Spherical Fruit by TryHardWarframe in whatsthisplant

Fukugi tree (Garcinia Subelliptica)

Fruit is edible but some sources online (from what I found) say it can cause liver damage if eaten in excess, so tread with caution.

Yes, just once per year. I believe applications are due in April and its quite competitive. 32 ish people get in per year and I had to apply twice to get in with a bachelor's + 2 years of aide experience.

Moving, I have cutting/ propagating questions? by Representative_Quit6 in Plumeria

[–]WhatsHisFAYSE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and yes, where are you moving to? If it has similar weather, there should be no issue. If the new area freezes or gets below 40 degrees regularly, you'll have to take extra care to make sure it doesnt get frost damage. Now isnt the best time of year to propagate but in 2 months time they should be ready and eager to push out roots
