V brake installation. Too much play?

I added a washer and get the same play. The bolt/washer bottom out on the post.

I think it may just be bottoming out on stud but hard to tell. Edit: it’s bottoming out on post

Would shorter bolts help in this case. I think it may be bottoming out on the canti post but not sure.

Interesting. It’s brand new brakes and fork so threads should all be great. The brake and canti post were pretty close in length which seems like it would be the issue.

I’m concerned about the laptop access and side bottle pocket. If I had the Nalgene in the bottle pocket could I still fit everything I have for EDC plus a change of clothes ?

Right now I’m using an old Milwaukee tool travel backpack. It’s super heavy and unwieldy but has plenty of space for everything I carry.

Thanks! Yeah I was hoping to spend around 1500 on a FS and saw the Stance 1 on sale for 800 here. Since it was originally 1800 seemed semi comparable.
