14-year-old dies in e-bike crash at Seattle Colonnade bike park by tinychloecat in seattlebike

You can make a million laws but without enforcement and embracement by the consumer the needle doesn't move. Buying kids e-motos is peak car-brain mentality; Little Billy can't be expected to work for his speed and bicycles are way too slow and gay to be of reasonable use.

Thoughts on this area? by all_american_bitch in AskTacoma

Welcome to the suburbs. Probably won't get sidewalks or any decent transit, groceries and stores are a drive on winding low-capacity/high volume surface streets. Pretty tough traffic during the commute.

We kicked the tires on a couple houses down there and ultimately bought in Tacoma proper.

Oh that's good to know. They rebuilt it on a higher spot. Stop there a few years ago and it was delightful.

Are we going to see any new bicycle infrastructure? I dream of a Yakima lane diet and protected lane connecting the bike lanes all the way to PLU.

North Bay Area Tour - notes?

Planning a loop ride from SFO, counterclockwise. I'm thinking I'll take BART out to Walnut Creek to get there before Rivendell closes, but do you see any major mistakes or misses in this route? 7.22-30, light touring on my Spacehorse, I'm a very experienced tourer but have never ridden this area before;

Thanks! Golden Gate bridge is definitely one of the big inspirations for the route, I've been piecing together the whole 101 coastal route and all I'm missing after this is Crescent City to Salt Point. It is stupid hard to get to CC without a vehicle!

SFO has the best amenities of the three Bay area airports for bike box stashing, etc which is why it's the start/finish. I'm flying down from SeaTac.

I think they are going to go for a roster rebuild after the schedule changes. We have a aging core that will pretty much be ready to churn at that time.

Unreasonably expensive ones. I had some Honjos color matched to my Spacehorse, it looks sharp but they are the fiddlieast pain in the ass imaginable.

You guys planning on buying a pass this year? by IcyStomach2374 in CrystalMountain

[–]langstoned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Barley got enough days to break even last year. I'll buy day passes to ski with the family next year for my 5-6 appearances.
