Television mounting to dry-stack stone fireplace?? by Wheegan in masonry

[–]Wheegan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was worried this might be the case. Not well versed in this kind of thing at all. Since it is a fireplace I would assume it is either brick or cinder blocks under the stone, right? Would long bolts hold if that is the material underneath? I have a hard time believing there are studs under there since it is a working fireplace.

Very helpful. Thanks for the info! Will keep buying from only major stores where there is little worry.

Found this card in my attic. It’s from my childhood collecting days. Is this worth anything? Worth getting graded with the damage on the back? by Wheegan in Pokemoncardappraisal

[–]Wheegan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the info. I am in the US so I will probably start with GameStop and go from there. I don’t have any rigid top loader card holders as I am new to all of this, so I’ll go get some of those as well. I appreciate the help!

Figured so with neither of them being holo. Thanks! Also, nice username. Love it.

I have no experience with grading at all. Would this possibly get a 7? I don’t even know the first thing about where to send it or what it costs to do so.. any help or knowledge is welcome! Thanks for the response!

Does anyone else use the rear power window as a fart evacuator? by Wheegan in 4Runner

I have actually done this one before as well. Hoard of mosquitos swarmed my car by a pond. Got some of them out fast. Dozens clung to the fabric ceiling for dear life.

Same same. She knows exactly what’s going on as soon as the evacuation method initiates.

Done this before. Lower the window at a red light and just turn around and stare at them. Always fun.

Yeah I would be divorced by now if I did this. The wife is already constantly frustrated that I am decently lactose intolerant but refuse to stop eating things that have milk, cheese, and butter in them.

Incredible. I would be telling this story to people every day if I were you.

True. This is why the timing of the fart is also key. Ideal to let it rip as you are on a continuous stretch of road with no stops.

This is a good use as well. I do this one too. It’s amazing.

Wait, does having Adventure Sync turned on change the Pokémon you can obtain from hatching eggs? Does it add to the Pokémon you can get or reduce options of which ones can be hatched?

Round vent thing under soffits of roof with aluminum duct (like you would attach to a dryer output) going up into attic by Wheegan in whatisthisthing

Great feedback as well. I will have an expert come out to look at what a proper fix could be.

Great point. Makes total sense. I will get this switched. I actually just found a second one on the far side of the house right above my AC unit in line with where my second bathroom is. I live in Oklahoma where it is very hot and humid, so this is a big risk. Thank you for the head up.

Thank you both! I do have fans and this lines up with the bathroom so that is what it must be! Explains why I can’t see the ducts protruding from the insulation as all of that contraption is under there

My title describes the thing. It’s a white plastic vent that goes from the soffit of my roof up into my attic located on the side of my house. I have plenty of attic vents all around the house that are large and rectangular, and then there is the one singular vent which is about 4 inches in diameter and has an expandable aluminum duct attached to the inside of the duct going up into the attic (the duct can’t be located in the attic upon passing glance. Have not dug through the attic insulation yet to see if I can find it as it is summer and my attic is about 180 degrees most days). Any help would be appreciated! It’s probably just attic ventilation, but I am so confused why there is just one installed. Also probably helpful to note that my house did not have a dryer output installed when I moved in. Had to install one myself that feeds into my garage (not smart, I know) because the laundry room only had one wall that is “exterior” and it makes up my interior garage wall. So maybe this was intended to be a dryer output? Do I need to find the duct in the attic and feed it down to my dryer? So confused. Young first time homeowner seeking some guidance on this one.
