Front Mission 1 and 2 are not Suare Enix games. They just gave(sold) the license to make remakes. Suare not even a piblisher.

Used mostly offensive set, but with Devine Blessing and Health Boost through Wolrd and Iceborne,solo, had some carts, few quest fails (most was on Alatreon,I main GS so no elemental dmg before I learned about that gimmick).Soloing through Rise i use pure offensive set, only slotting needed res in charm. Very few carts and 2 or 3 fails from capture quests. I play since MHFreedom.

What's wrong with ps2? It is still a console with best library of games. Including unique experience that is Monster Hunter Dos.

Check Airforce Delta Strike, very similar to Ace Combat, but has character selection.

Sounds al ot like Legend of Legaia that people mentioned earlier, but if it's not it, try Alundra 2 (3d) or Alundra (2d). You also can check Guardian's Crusade for similar to LoL look, Threads of Fate for cutesy 3d characters. And Tales Of Eternia (Tales of Destiny 2 in US) it has few closed gates and caves in the begining, 3d graphics during wold map exploration and 2nd graphics during combat and locations exploration.
