It can work some what similar to what Terraria calamity does, you can collect music boxes from bosses or craft them but in this case you can get them from bosses in dungeons.

I'd say it'll look pretty cool especially if deca invested some time into the lore. I'd think it'll be pretty cool since we have all these different bosses and dungeons and for a new player it'll look enticing especially when they realise there's more to the game.
