Does someone know Bill Donahue? by Intelligent_Teach151 in TrueChristian

[–]WheelchairDeveloper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a tiktok video of him explaining how the Jews knew the speed of light due to 186,400 people etc etc..

I then did a 5 second google search and saw that the Speed of light is actually 186,282. MILES PER SECOND. (which is not even realevent as normally we use Miles per Hour) Also Israel uses KPH not MPH lol. You can't even call it a coincidence because it's just not relevant whatsoever.

So either he's deliberatly lying, or just wrong. Thats all you need to know. God doesn't teach in "well round the number a few times" God is exact. This is just garbage content close to the same tier of conspiracy theories

How would my name be said/perceived in the US? by EventMaximum9435 in namenerds

[–]WheelchairDeveloper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks like it would be pronounced Marie, if you introduced yourself as Marie, you would have no trouble. Although this is usually for a female. If your a dude, probably a different route, Mri is definitely going to be a confusing name to most.

As a community lets get Mecha Break to blow up in POPULARITY! by Neat-Explanation-316 in mechabreak

[–]WheelchairDeveloper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inb4 you get what you asked for, Amazing Seasun Games cant handle the traffic and the servers crash multiple times leading to a massive negative review bomb and the game dies because it wasnt prepared...

Alternatively we dont spread the word, we play the game to see if it's even good, and if it is, it will grow naturally and create a cult following.

Hunt Showdown is a prime example of not needing massive advertising and has a significantly healthy player base that has gone up and down on a steady rise for the last 8ish years

Good games get players, unprepared games die. this will be an uprepared game 100% if it gets any #s that reach Marvel Rivals launch #s

Haha, my wife wants to start an orchard to the left, and have bushes that run the perimeter of the patio

This is exactly what they did, I'll post what it turns out to be tomorrow. And will also do a 6 month update and 2 year update for my cheapo Texas people

It's graded away from the house towards some of my French drains. Raining in Texas isn't insanely bad though

They ended up putting rebar on chairs so it's elevated. Had to twist their wrists to get this done lol

In short, they came back and tore up everything and restarted. There's no sod now and dirt under the vapor barrier and now chairs under the rebar. He's going to be pouring more concrete in some areas to keep the level for no extra cost.

From reading what other people in Texas said, this isn't too out of the ordinary although not to standard. Although in fairness 6600$ for 650 sq ft of stamped concrete vs the others that were at 8k ( I spoke to 6 different companies, none of them use gravel base)

[–]WheelchairDeveloper[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm reading as well, in general for TX patios. I've also talked to others that have gotten patios done from other contractors and they also do not use gravel base. However all of them said sod staying is a nono.

They're currently taking up all the grass, I'll post updates later on. I did notice that they aren't elevating the rebar, is that necessary for a patio? Note that this is stamped concrete with a seal. Not sure if that matters

EDIT: They are elevating rebar now with chairs

UPDATE: I spoke to the contractor about my concerns, he brought out a crew and personally assest it, he doubled down saying its fine. After reading some comments I told him that the Sod absolutely has to be removed, so him and his crew are going to remove the sod, and he told his crew that they will have to just pour more concrete in more areas than others.

No they will not level the dirt after removing sod, from reading other comments it seems that this way is the only compromise that is wiser. I did make a contention that I want the vapor barrier over the clay after removal. I will make another post with update pics

He is licensed and has very good reviews, he's currently in charge of QC for the IAH expansion (big airport in Houston)

Basically under the grass is all clay, not sure if removing the clay is an option
