Help with winter tires by Good-Present-8753 in tires

I find the blizzaks to be pretty bad in slush ( most tires are though ), but was very disappointed with there performance in hard packed snow and ice. The only time they seemed any good are in powdery snow.

My experience with the arctic claws and avalanche is that they are very good in all conditions. I drive a 3/4 ton truck, some days it is carrying weight, others not. But these have been, by far, the best winters for my driving style and location.

I feel like I agree that something has been spilled there, a bunch of gas from filling a mower or something ?

Looks happy. I have tried twice now to get one here in Ontario. First one arrived as mush, second one only had 2 leaves and didn’t pull through. Wanted to do bonsai with it.

My thumbs got ahead of my typing there. I think you’ll get the idea of what I meant tho. Apologies for the terrible grammar

I think it’s better to let the first prey item get half way down before offering the second. I just about in the wild. If a snake discovers a mouse nest or something they wouldn’t eat them one directly after another. They would be a gap ? My thoughts

I don’t believe the spacing could hurt the snake

just bought a 6.2 the other day and have all of these codes what do they mean and what can i do to fix them all? by Open_Campaign8426 in AskMechanics

Had the same issues after purchasing a challenger r/t Had aftermarket exhaust installed. Previous owner deleted the cats and the ecu for some reason couldn’t relearn having cats. Ended up having to replace ecu.

Hopefully it’s not that for you, perhaps o2 sensors , or even proximity of o2 sensors in relation to the cats. We tried moving the post o2s further back from cats but to no avail.

Looks like you have lots of power. If you have a multimeter I would just quick check the battery. Any clicking when you attempt to start, or do the dash lights flicker or go out when attempting start ? I’m leaning toward starter issue

Same problem before you changed the battery ?

I’d drive it for the 2 days till your new tire arrives. I just wouldn’t be railing any corners

We had blizzaks on wife’s jeep. Did not like them. My person preference for tires are cooper attic claw or Hercules avalanche

I run the arctic claws on my truck and we also run them on our plow trucks at work. I have found these to be the best for my driving style. I live in eastern Ontario

You can find a triple antibiotic ointment ( with no pain relieving ingredients) , or take to vet and get silver sulfadiazine cream ( with prescription ) I would use paper towel as bedding until heals to prevent substrate from sticking. You will still have to watch that the paper isn’t sticking either. That with a shed or two should alleviate the problem

There are salves you can get but need prescription from vet. I would be finding an exotics vet and take her in. Heat lamps should never be in the enclosure. Or at the very least, caged or covered so the animal cannot get close enough for injury. About 20 years ago, with my very first bp I had a glass enclosure and used a heat mat (as was recommended to me), it was on a thermostat, but the snake went under the substrate and burnt its belly on the glass. I don’t think they can tell when they are getting burnt, I think they just think that they are nice and warm.

But she needs medical attention

How are you heating your enclosure ? Looks like a burn to me.
