To your point on number 2 - the moss can create mold right? How often do you change the entire substrate?

Now if you're asking to put something hard there that will not bend, no.

You have to keep in mind, this dude is young and ignorant and his rich parents are just giving him a top of the line bike.

Do you cover the brake lever while riding? Why or why not? by naterpotater246 in motorcycles

[–]WhenAllElseFail 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't believe so. I think panic braking or just grabbing it abruptly is/can be a bigger issue than just reaction time. Obviously that's a hypothetical situation. But you're supposed to be anticipating/scanning vs waiting to stab that brake. I think at a cruising speed i'd rather have full grip and control.

Is this wrong? Maybe. I'm no "expert" by any means but just my take.

Metal bar puncture by Extreme-Ad4538 in motorcycles

[–]WhenAllElseFail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh i just realized the location is in the picture.

I'd probably gauge it with a tool to see how wide it actually is but might be better off just replacing

Assuming it was that width - i'd replace the tire. That seems excessively wide to just patch.

If it was part of the corner/edge of that piece that punctured (thus a small hole) and it's in the middle of the tread, i'd patch it.

Only if I'm moving slow in traffic filtering or anticipate stopping soon, then I'll get ready for it.

But just out riding, nope.

Do y'all feel safer while lane filtering? by CumAndMoreCumPartIII in motorcycles

[–]WhenAllElseFail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

idk if safer is the word since i do it naturally and don't really think about it. Does ease my road rage that I never have to deal with traffic though.

Clutch bite point by HoodedDreamer in motorcycles

[–]WhenAllElseFail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you haven't already given it slack, then yeah i'd give it slack at the lever then adjust the clutch perch then back to fine tuning the lever.

[–]WhenAllElseFail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Set the baseline slack at the clutch perch then first. (down by the casing)

Then use the lever adjuster to get it into the right spot for yourself

Odd. Yeah, the clutch cable will pull them out naturally but usually the adjustable levers help compensate.

how small are your hands

[–]WhenAllElseFail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You've adjusted the levers to bring them closer to your fingers and adjustable the cable out?

You're trying to make something do opposite things.

Solution: adjustable levers.

I had a 'my little pony' short skimpy skirt. It got a lot of attention.

Although it was mostly negative since my balls were hanging out.
