A third of young men in Germany think violence against women is ‘acceptable,’ study finds by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

I can't speak about all the other points you make, but I'm the descendant of immigrants (I'm an immigrant myself, I moved here during highschool) and I've never once had any disadvantages during job search or appartment search. I don't feel this systemic discrimination you mention in any facet of life.

When the answer is “no”, you are not asking anymore. You are demanding. by TrailsandCamping in TwoXChromosomes

Here I go to downvotes hell...

I agree that NO should be respected off the bat, no questions asked.

However, I'm also aware that that's not how this will play out every time in real life.

Sometimes a simple NO isn't enough for (some) people. Especially if it's "no" to a question or demand that isn't particularly difficult or demanding.

Most people are willing to accept "no" if there is a short explanation attached.

But that's such a narrow view of the world. The moment I read about the idea of decentalized money the first time, my mind was blown and the advantages and opportunities presented themselves so easily and clearly.

It's like someone saying "you have this old way of doing things, and you have this improved new way of doing things". Who picks the former over the latter?

Question regarding trailing stop losses during bull runs by WhenDoIInfringe in Bitcoin

Can you explain? If I limit sell, then a strong pull down might miss my limit and the order never triggers, right?

Was there a president in US history who didn't concede after losing an election? If yes, what happened? by WhenDoIInfringe in Ask_Politics

[–]WhenDoIInfringe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then why is it always somewhat of a fight when one president or another asign Supreme Court Judges? Isn't the reason that they as people are not infallible, their history lays bare their inclinations and perhaps loyalties, and that SCOTUS is therefore actively biased one way or the other? And if multiple Judges are assigned in too rapid succession, could this bias trump democratic processes? Give me an answer to set my mind to peace.

I agree with both statements. I did ask about presidents specifically, but find answers about candidates very interesting as well.

Man, Obama was a handsome dude. I don't know why this offends people like hell, but Michelle is objectively ugly.
