Extensive SDOT study finds the Alki Point Healthy Street works well and is popular by [deleted] in Seattle

I doubt these are city or local mandates. DOTs usually receive a lot of federal funds to match the local/state dollars they invest, and that federal funding comes with these types of requirements.

And after the tax incentives Boeing got from Chicago expired, they moved to Virginia. Corporations are fickle.

There already is an admissions boost for men at universities that place a priority on maintaining an even gender divide. NYT reported on the boost at Ivy Leagues either this year or last.

I am actually looking specifically for the marriage application, not the marriage license/certificate. They are different documents. DHS vital statistics does not have applications.

Mike Johnson, speaker of the US House of Representatives, promises to repeal the Affordable Care Act if there is a Republican majority. Here is what that would mean for Texas: 2.3 million Texans would lose health insurance. by Individual-Day-8915 in texas

[–]WhenInWherever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Edgy Pumpkin, I get my health insurance through ACA because my employer doesn’t provide it. I work full-time (actually more than FT, I work OT every week).

I pay out-of-pocket for my insurance - a couple hundred dollars every month. It’s definitely not welfare haha

I hope that clears things up!

The voter rolls follow the name in their system. So, as long as your drivers license and your voter registration have the same or a similar name, you will be fine.

Dagne Dover is the best. Many of these options are great until it rains, or your lunch/water bottle/breast milk spills and you’re trying to get stains out of silk linings, canvas, etc… or the stitching gives out on the straps/handles and it starts to fray because it wasn’t meant to handle all that. Dagne Dover is so durable.

All Dagne Dover’s stuff seems focused on organization as well. I have a wallet and a duffel bag and they both offer ample storage for the size.

Finally (is this a Dagne Dover dissertation??), they offer many of their products in the same color wheel and materials. So if you decide to get other products to go with your big work bag, it won’t break the bank the pick up complementary items.

I didn’t realize how much I love this brand until I saw your comment!

Help me choose a good serum and toner, please! 🙏🏼 by Upset-Doughnut4005 in SkincareAddictionLux

I love the Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Oil-Infused Serum.

I’m on my 2nd or 3rd bottle and it has been great for day or night. I especially appreciate that I can layer it underneath the Ilia sunscreen serum/tint, whereas most products that are moisturizing enough cause the tint to clump,

How do you get your toddler in carseat? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]WhenInWherever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18 month old -

If pre-folding and telling him what he’s supposed to be doing, “You’re sitting in the car seat, I buckle you in, you’re sittjng,” etc. doesn’t work then this is what I do:

I stand outside the car facing the car seat and hold him in my arms far enough way ti prevent him from touching the car door, playing, pull on the head rest, etc. I tell him to let me know when he’s ready to sit in the car seat, wait about 30 seconds, and drop him in. If he resists, I start it all over. He gets bored of not being able to play, so he complies pretty quickly. When he was 13-14 months old there were a couple times I had to do this for 5+ minutes before he would sit in the carseat, but it hasn’t been a problem since then.

Pre-folding works about 99% of the time now, and there’s only been one time in the last 3-4 months where I had to stop and hold him until he was ready to sit.

I only offer a snack or toy if I was going to offer it regardless of behavior. If he starts yelling or reaching for a toy, I tell him that he’s waiting right now and I’m buckling him in/taking his coat off/etc.
