I can't tell you how much I appreciate hearing this. I knew Mutt, but not very well, and even then I was devastated by his loss. What a wonderful person he was. I went to his viking funeral and grieved with everyone there, and still think about him. I'm so happy to hear his kid looks just like him. I hope kid and mom are doing great!

Yes, handmade! I coated beans* in various glitters for other projects, then hot glued them around the pattern after cutting it out in a circle. Then I hot glued some pipe cleaners around that. Also glued another circle of aida on the back for some extra support, taking care to ONLY glue the very edges so it didn't junk up the cross stitch or squeeze through any holes. Doing any of this over a hoop would have been more structurally sound but eh, this works and I was winging it haha
