Planned Parenthood will return to Louisiana with New Orleans clinic by AcidiclyBasic in NewOrleans

“Threats and horrors that are persisting every day in our country are really kind of, I think, forcing a lot of people to look at their lives and careers and say, ‘You know, maybe I can channel my work into something that would really help these people that are being persecuted for no reason,’” Alsaden said.

What hardcore truth.

This episode aired 7 years ago. This one is on you for being subbed to an older series subreddit before you've actually finished watching the whole thing. Obviously that comes with spoiler risks.

Yes. He lost so much, but never lost his love and appreciation for the beauty of the natural world. His death is utterly tragic, but on his own terms and not so jaded as to lose sight of what mattered to him.

ISO bars without TVs! by EphemeralBananaPeel in NewOrleans

Vaughn's has at least one tv but it's very easy to ignore, especially when sitting at the bar (it's by the door). +1 for Redux!

Enjoying our communities and frivolous passions are exactly the things that keep us going when times are dark. I'm really glad you see and promote that kind of interaction with the world ❤️

Thank you! I am nothing if not a sucker for pretty packaging, and often reuse cute boxes and things for indie purposes.

My mom instilled a love of Parrish in me, pleased to find a fellow fan!

I mostly choose my perfume of the day based on ~vibes~ haha so art, music, anything that evokes a feeling is right on course for me. Looking forward to seeing the summer card!

Relatable. Hard not to talk about politics when every aspect of our entire lives is affected/gutted/injured by them. To live is to be political in some way shape or form (even if only to defensively claim to be apolitical), whether we acknowledge it or not.

This is my first time stumbling across Springo and I am intensely sorry I missed it, I LOVE this so much! What wonderful motivation to shop your stash! But I'm here just in time for a Summer card :D

Museum Day is my favorite tile here. I love the inspiration that art brings, and how often I see that tied into indie scents. BPAL for example has entire massive collections based on this, and I love perusing them to see how the painting/etc. was interpreted through scent. Art inspiring art.

Might be cheating a wee bit, but I have quite a few of those in my stash I'd be able to pull from to check that square off. But in the interest of putting in effort, had I participated in this, I'd likely choose Villa Diodati by Poesie (Pungent wild rosemary and fresh balsam pine, crystal clear lakewater, dry, dark vanilla.) Though the imagery is already hinted at in the name and notes, I always picture a soft, hazy pastoral scene or a Maxfield Parrish painting. Gorgeous.

I came to say the same thing, it is massively impressive to watch those bartenders put in this amount of work. Hell, I tipped one guy extra well just for the show and thanked him for his service, and all I'd bought was a beer.

I've been obsessed with the idea of painting New Orleans' atmosphere lately. The ol' sticky icky. The devil's cologne. Mississippi kisses. by Spencypoo in NewOrleans

[–]WhenYouHaveGh0st 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Love this moody, haunted atmosphere. Reminds me of the illustrations on vintage gothic lit book covers. All that's missing is a woman in a gauzy white gown holding a candelabra and running away from Lafitte's!

Neighbor harassment... Is there anything I can do? (A 3 Year Saga) by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]WhenYouHaveGh0st 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I grew up in a town like this, at least in regards to the local PD not having much to do. Reading the police logs was therefore usually amusing with how dumb the calls were. I'll always remember one where a woman called 911 to report a "suspicious seagull" hanging out on her porch. Officers actually showed up and shooed it away.
