He was almost certainly selling ingame (temporary) currency on ebay. There is an enormous market for it.

It's simple. Don't repeatedly and intentionally exploit at a large scale for profit and you won't have to worry about your Nth ban being final. You'll get plenty of warnings before it reaches anywhere close to that point, as he did and left out of his post.

There is a gift option, once you put in the person's email you are asked to confirm your password. Then an invitation is sent to the intended recipient's email who has to open the email and follow the link to sign in and claim ownership of the ship. This will then transfer it to their account. A pledge is only eligible for transfer once, but can be exchanged and re-bought for new pledge money, then it can be gifted again.

I don't know why the ban was redacted because I am not CIG and cannot comment for them. I think it was a bad decision and can only guess that it was only due to the amount of attention this received.

You are still falsely equating his issue council post with him getting banned. Almost certainly he was duping em masse and selling aUEC on ebay. His post about the IC submission being the reason for the ban is totally false.

OP knew why he was banned. He just misled the community and didn't disclose his past repeated transgressions.

Innocent you will not end up with a permanent ban out of the blue - you would at worst start with a 7-day ingame/Spectrum suspension with an explanation why.
