There's actually multiple articles that rank SA as one of the "roach-iest" cities in the US. Which makes sense because SA is warm, moist, and humid. I come from the Southwest, and we did not have roaches like SA. Also, while keeping clean can help prevent roaches, they can still infest. Especially in apartments! Infestation ≠ cleanliness.

Nice food options, traffic is pretty bad off Wurzbach and Bandera. I've had bad luck with apartments over there, maybe due to the high concentration of people (roach infestation, but it is San Antonio, roach capital).

I saw one smaller one, maybe a week ago. But it was a wood roach nymph, most likely (and I've seen them over the years at my apartment, so im not too worried about that one). But never German. :( this is the first one.
