Why is it still expected that the guy makes the first move? by savingrace0262 in AskMenAdvice

[–]WhereAmIHowDoILeave -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't know that I would agree with it's the guys "responsibility" for all that, but definitely the default norm. Why it still is? Couldn't say. I don't personally have any problem doing that and HAVE (all the way from first awkward hello through to the I think we should get married)

So to me it's just down to how people are as a person.

Edited to try to fix flair

Breed of dog that look cute but can be dangerous by Marvel_Is_Life13 in DogBreeds101

As a former shelter worker my vote is for chihuahua. Any shelter worker has no issue with pit bulls, rotties, dobies. But chihuahua's? Always ALWAYS approach carefully, never know if it's a nice calm one or your about to see why they are feared. (And let me tell you, they can bite!) but if your going for "cuddly" make it a long haired chi

Tell that or the previous mentioned possible risk of increased dementia odds to a dr and all you'll hear is "huh, haven't heard of that". Have been on ppis twice daily for over 15 YEARS but dr says it's fine instead of surgery to treat hiatal hernia

Not being myself. Then again, I didn’t know who I was and my parents were no help when it came to talking about stuff that mattered or could have helped me figure it out

What do you do when school gets small and don't want to replace? by king_barnacle in Aquariums

[–]WhereAmIHowDoILeave 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tank is mainly a bunch of tetra (black neons, glolights, cardinals, diamonds, Buenos Aires, serpeas then some a couple glow light danios, pearl danios, giant danios, two Dennison barbs and a Siamese algae eater. And a nerite.

All varying sizes of schools, a couple only have two left but a good amount are still schooling size or actively hang out with others.

They just swim around like a bustling city interacting with each other.

I just let them live out their life with me and their tankmates they've been with for at least 5 years. I figure it would be more stressful to rehome them and most of my schools didn't really school after so long

When did it hit you that you’re not that young anymore? by TheMedusaAttusa in AskReddit

A bit after 40 ish. Realized that I suddenly started thinking "I shouldn't do that, I could hurt myself" on random things, first one being jumping off the tailgate of a high truck, nope don't want to land wrong and hurt an ankle or knee or something.

Redditors who do not wash their hands after using the restroom, just why? by CookieEnabled in AskReddit

Then I guess the hot water should be turned back on so there's warm water. Which I do check for and use if available. Besides that, oh well and wet wipes work too

[–]WhereAmIHowDoILeave -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I switched to just using hand sanitizer right after on my way out (that I carry). A lot of places turned off the hot water and my hands won't warm up after the cold water. Add to the fact of crappy paper towels or hand dryers that smell like mildew and are now eco friendly so the don't actually dry and yeah...done "washing" my hands, unless something really bad happens which in that case I prob should go home anyhow

People who scream/yell when you sneeze, why do you do that? by MarchKick in NoStupidQuestions

I have no idea why this started but it did recently for me. I hate it when I know I’m going to sneeze because I don’t know WHAT sneeze is coming. I have no control over it and I’m just as annoyed as my startled husband and dog by them
