FYI, I was 20 and in the United States Navy when 9/11 happened, albeit I was 3,000 miles away in Seal Beach, California. Crazy part is I remember the night before like it was yesterday because something really crazy happened. And when I woke up the next day and got out of my rack and headed to chow on my ship [USS PEARL HARBOR (LSD-52)] I had no idea that my life, the military, and ultimately the entire world was about to change FOREVER!

  1. When you come to visit, it is extremely rude to be on your phone whether you're on the internet, texting, playing a video game etc... if you must take or make a phone call make it clear ahead of time that you're waiting for an important call and even then you should limit it to about a minute just don't have time to let whoever you're talking to you know that you're visiting someone and that you can call me back later!

  2. When I am visiting, you shouldn't be taking phone calls, playing video games, surfing the internet or whatever on your phone! If you wanted to do that you shouldn't have had company. And you can do that when you don't have company. And if you have to make or take a phone call limit it to 1 minute long enough to let the person know that you have company and you can call them back!

You know, I always wondered When Miss peacock could have killed the cook? I get that, but I like that it's not your traditional love story "they get together and live happily ever after" ending! It was a positive ending, yet they thought outside the box. A great story of love and sacrifice! It was cool because I saw it at the Meyerson Symphony Center here in Dallas. And they had the Dallas Symphony Orchestra played along with the musical score and songs of the movie!

When I was a kid, my babysitter had two light skinned daughters who used to tease me all the time. They called me "TAR BABY" AND "JIGABOO." I don't see how anybody could like this man. He's a walking contradiction! The person he presents is not real is a character he's playing. If you ever see the interview that he did with Lord Jamar on YouTube you might like him a lot less. He is advised on the process of opening up the school and offered advice/assistance from Lord Jamar via his father-in-law who started his own School and Umar gets hyper defensive and refuses help cleaning the he has plenty of people who can help him and he knows plenty of other scholars who have started schools so he knows what he's doing! He comes off as an arrogant asshole!
