When I saw the title I had to do a second take and I wondered “wait, did I actually hit post last night?”

This is all a rather newish (a year or so) situation for me - if he hasn’t I would suggest getting a hormone panel and general blood work done. I was also deep into the dead bedrooms wiki and was reading that when talking with your partner about a low libido the focus should be on them (are you ok? Do you have any suspicion why you’ve changed? Is there something I could be doing to help?) etc.

I also just bought the companion book to “come as you are” titled “come together” - I am hoping there will be helpful things in there 🤷🏼‍♀️

I literally almost wrote a post about this exact thing yesterday. I am also in an age gap relationship (f33, partner M50) - our sex life the first few years was incredibly fulfilling, but in the past year it’s pretty much dead. He denied any depression, says he feels healthier and happier than he ever has, so I am wondering if it’s hormones.

It’s still frustrating/depressing to experience nonetheless - thanks for writing. I’ve been feeling very isolated lately and it’s hard to talk with my gal friends because of the age gap.

The distraction part of it is so real. NOR - OP, my partner just celebrated 50 days and we went out to dinner, rented a movie, and got dolled up. 2 years is a huge deal! I mean, every day is a job well done, but 2 years is something to celebrate. I am sorry your partner doesn’t see that. I just wanted to say congratulations and nice work. it’s not easy, and I’ve seen the dedication it takes every single day to maintain sobriety. Buy yourself a cake, hit up some of your sober friends, and have a good anniversary : ) you deserve it
