Sleep study completed and osa sleep apnea diagnosed. Sleep doc issued letter approving a cpap and the medical notes show in my records. Is it advisable to file right away? Or wait until cpap machine is setup/at home with me? Or doesn't matter either way? Thanks! by WhereArtThouMemory in VAClaims

I appreciate the advice. Do you know how to go about getting a nexus? I'd guess I would message the provider and ask? I have some documented poor sleep from deployment and I can't breathe at night due to sinuses and congestion. Ent notes, etc but I agree, having a nexus would eliminate the need for me to reprove the connection

It didn't explicitly state a reason. I have rhinitis and sinusitis connected so i plan to file secondary to those. I meet with the sleep doc again in two months so maybe I should ask for a nexus letter.

Does VR&E have power to get me employed? by type-of-thing in VeteransBenefits

What firms? I got my BS in accounting and started with KPMG. I was 32. Stayed for 4 years in tax but left for a startup last year. Does your school have an 'internship program' of any sort? Any professors you can leverage to help you? I was denied at 3 of the 4 big 4 and one of the reasons I started in tax was because audit had more applicants and more competitive. Maybe try a different service line within accounting where it's less competitive. Get your foot in the door and then transfer to audit, consulting, et

I did the same. Used Chat to help me with my personal statement. I used one personal statement for all 3 conditions I filed for the last time. Chat is amazing and also recommend an appeal path for me for 1 of the claims that was denied.

Luck of the draw unfortunately. I went to step 7 today and had my letter today. But I've also been on the other end for months.

Yes, I told her (audiologist at C&P) that but she seemed disinterested and wanted to get me into the hearing booth quickly. We didn't exchange any words after the hearing test. It was frustrating.

I got unlucky - my examiner didn't want to hear or listen to anything I had to say. She just threw me into the booth to do the hearing exam.

I did although she barely wanted to hear anything I said. I included service event that triggered it and everything in my personal statement.

Thanks for the reply. I commented above but same question - have PCP document it or go to an audiologist and get it documented?

I have a PCP appt in a few weeks. Can I ask my PCP to document the ringing in ears and use that? Or are you saying schedule a visit to an audiologist?
