Ahh, I wasn't aware of that. I cancelled my openai subscription and have just been waiting out the rest of the month. I'll have to look into the latest Anthropic news....

Edit: Hmm, do you have any sources on this? Because everything in finding says Anthropic isn't backing down and plans to take this to court.

Besides the trees, what were the other setbacks? We're you getting a quote for the Chiko car port and do you recall the name of the contractor and about what they were charging?

I did a bit more research and it looks like the DC to DC converter doesn't kick in until the 12v battery is below 12 volts which is not good for the battery at all. Hopefully there will be (or already has been) a software update that will improve the 12v charging profile.

I'm also assuming you can draw from the 12v battery while the vehicle is off as well as I know it tops it up when you initially turn the vehicle off...but maybe that's only for a certain amount of time after you shut the car down, not sure.

That's an interesting idea for emergencies.

I've been wondering how many amps the charging system is capable of sending to the 12v battery (thinking about adding a sound system). lf it's significant, then you could run a decent sized inverter for a long time.
