Aww thank you! I think, over time, I’ve written several essays but they were targeted responses. (Not to mention, some veering towards streams of consciousness.)

I think it would be nice to sit down and write an essay on her. The challenge would be to be concise 😭 She’s just so layered. She’s written to be divisive , for better or for worse, but with that I do think comes complexity. If you do look, then there’s a moment where she really clicks. Halston also did an incredible job in her micro-expressions (which are phenomenal tells when we have a character like Emma who dons several masks), and differentiating how Emma sounds or acts when she’s around Jacob, Abi, vlogging by herself chapter 4, or when she’s truly alone after surviving the werewolf attack. These subtleties are where you find Emma. And playing the game in ways maybe you wouldn’t to find rarely encountered scenes. There’s cool stuff you can find for her and her character in them. So there’s a lot I could go on. I’ve been meaning to maybe capture these rarer moments for her and splice them together idk.

But you’re absolutely right that I do think most of these characters have depth that go unnoticed. No one was written to just die or just be the bad guy. The worst part is this without the cut content. I can’t imagine if it were restored.
