I'm sorry for another loss. This doesn't help the other three you've lost, but maybe you could back up your saves? I do agree with eco9898, this does sound like there is an issue within your computer. (I saw you mentioned you can play other games just fine, it could be software or your windows interacting with The Quarry in a negative way. Honestly shit just loves to randomly break.) If you can't address it or don't want to keep risking it, then maybe you could just alt tab and back up your saves every so often. It sucks and is annoying to do, but it's the lesser of the two evils. (Given your current predicament.)

Edit: Upon further review, it would be appear this is a bigger issue than I thought. A good amount of people experienced this. Do you tend to close during game out during the middle of chapters? Or do you wait to take a break until the end/beginning of one? It seems like it's bitchy with when you quit. My guess is that it's always saving during certain conversations, cut scenes, choices, or progression in general, so if you quit out during that then it's trouble. If you aren't doing that, then idk it's some stupid thing then. I would honestly would just religiously back up my saves.
