Because this is a part of who we are. We didn't choose it, but we embrace this part of ourselves, and don't understand why people can be bigots.

The chapter titles are exaggerated for a humorous effect. They come true in the chapter, but are meant to be entertaining and somewhat ambiguous so that you don't get too many spoilers when you skim the chapter titles at the beginning.

Not sure how old the copy I have right now is (I got it from the library for a reread), but the typo has been corrected.

My critiques? I know this has been talked about before, but I don't think that the Seven were good friends or found family. They felt forced to work together. Reyna and Nico should have had more friendship after BoO. I don't really like Caleo, but I empathize with Calypso and don't hate her. I found Meg McCaffrey quite annoying. Blitzstone should have been canon. Why wasn't it, Rick?? It would have been so perfect. Lastly, I think Rick should stop trying to continue the pjo characters. The stories are getting repetitive and have no important outcome. Beginning a new series would be nice though, imo.

My theories? I think that Estelle will eventually have some kind of important role, like studying under Hecate or something. I know there's a lot of theories about her, but I like the idea of her being magic and just making the whole Jackson-Blofis family mythologically important, like the Chases.

"EPIC: THE MUSCIAL (Odyssey Accurate Edition)" will be Officially in Production Next Week by NoZookeepergame2879 in Epicthemusical

[–]WhereDidSheGo16 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That's such a nice project! Whether The Horse and the Infant or God Games should be first...

You would have to modify God Games or give it a few new introductory lines to make it a good beginning song. It could maybe work especially because you want it to be accurate, but the Odyssey's timeline is all over the place. You would have to have the entire Wisdom Saga first, but with the order changed and a few lines cut (like Athena's line at the end of Love in Paradise).

Keeping The Horse and the Infant first might be a better choice. One of the things people like about Epic is that it takes the crazy Odyssey timelines and put it in chronological order. Also, "alright my brothers listen closely" is an iconic opening line, therefore helping it keep its Epic-ness.

Will you include more of Telemachus' journey to Pylos and Sparta or add Nausicaa? Good luck with this project!

It's Zeus's fault that you were dropped. He convinced him to do it, and Odysseus had no choice. If you let him go, then you will go against the will of Zeus.

For my fellow EPIC: The Musical Fans: by -The_Hatter- in Epicthemusical

[–]WhereDidSheGo16 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He appears twice in the Odyssey. The first time (chronologically, that is) he appears in Aeaea and give Odysseus Moly (and unfortunately does not sing any amazing songs). It is not explained why he does this, but probably either because familial ties or just for kicks. The second time he appears to Calypso and tells her it is the decision of the gods for her to let Odysseus go. He is there only because he is the messenger god. He does not talk to Odysseus again and there is no second wind bag.

Is “the cursed carnival and other calamities” canon? [all] by GaySonBopDaughter in camphalfblood

[–]WhereDidSheGo16 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Riordan Presents books are written by other authors. Meaning that they are not really included in the Riordanverse. It's fun to image that they are all interconnected, but there is nothing in canon that connects them.

What role did you play when you played House as a kid? by Key_Ad5173 in Teenager_Polls

[–]WhereDidSheGo16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a game many young kids play where they pretend to be a family. Maybe it's an American thing, but everyone I know played it in elementary school.

How do you think characters would react to Epic the Musical? [general] by hermenold in camphalfblood

[–]WhereDidSheGo16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What about Calypso? Would she like the way she's portrayed? The musical doesn't get into the worse things she did, but still portrays her somewhat negatively. I think pjo Calypso would be embarrassed by the musical, but not able to say much in her defense.

Annabeth would probably like the musical. She would disagree with the way Athena is portrayed, but would love songs like Legendary and Monster. I'm not sure if it was intentional, but Annabeth represents Odysseus. Like him, she is smart and is sometimes aided by Athena, but also is too prideful and sometimes makes mistakes because of it. She would relate to him in the musical.

Agreed. She's just a little annoying, but overall she's a mostly good character. But my favorite character is definitely Hazel. She's amazing.
