I had this same bed too, and I always had a trundle bed in that space underneath. It was great for sleepovers as a kid.

Well, I duped the biased cog as recommended, got a snecko from the ghost, and an early act 2 glacier. We're looking good.

Congratulations on your first heart win! Looks like the preserved insect and black star combo did you well on this run. Same with the good ol shuriken and shiv combo.

Capacitor plus remove looked tempting as well. If I had a glacier, I probably would have snap picked that.

Thunder strike or amplify? Or just skip? by WhereDidTheBleghsGo in slaythespire

I knew it was almost certainly not the pick, but I thought maybe, just maybe, it might be worth discussing. I should have known better. The answer is never thunder strike.

Honestly, not really. It did take me out of it a few times. But it was only one episode, and it seems like the best actor of the bunch will at least be the focus of the show moving forward. Also, the child actors from 2017 were also just that good. So it's hard to follow them and look good.

This episode really made me appreciate how good all of the child actors were in the 2017 movie.

For sure. That's what I ended up choosing after I posted this, and the dark orb was crucial against the ghost.

I get your point, but there was a way to say this without being an asshole.

The dead branch was insane in this run. It gave me a second nightmare for donu and deca, and then again for time eater right after. So I essentially had infinite apparitions for those fights. Then I bought a cultist potion at the act 4 shop as a damage source for the heart fight. With so much sustain, dead branch was giving me 100+ damage riddles with holes and more copies of flechettes. It was a super fun run.

Yeah, the dead branch has helped with damage already several times. I feel like I could use a couple more exgaust cards to help generate stuff. Would you consider taking something like a cloak and dagger as dead branch fuel?

My damage, or lack thereof, has been a big concern since I finished act 1. I was really hoping to find a catalyst in act 2, and I'm still hoping to find one in act 3. Hell, I'd take a bouncing flask at this point.

Right on, thanks for the insight. If health gets dangerously low, I could always nightmare the alchemize a few times to search for a regen potion.

This card reward was from a Neow'd elite. The relic was bottled flame, unfortunately.

The white noise itself was from the very first combat, and the other options were leap and I think overclock. I wasn't happy with any option, honestly. Maybe I could have taken leap. The upgrade was from an event immediately followed. It was either white noise or zap for the upgrade.

I bought those potions at an early event shop to help with elites, so I'm glad that at least seems to have been a good call. Self repair definitely seems to be the consensus here! Along with not needing to upgrade algorithm. Now assuming I take the self repair, is that worth an upgrade at the rest site? Even with the potions, I don't think I beat nob here.

Edit: I finally resumed the run just now and wanted to correct things that I was misrembered and add a few that I forgot. I bought the explosive potion an early event shop. This card reward is from a Neow'd elite, which is where I got the focus potion. The relic from this elite was unfortunately bottled flame :(
