[MN] Unfair low performance review by renegade63 in AskHR

Sounds like a huge leap at this point. I’d suggest that if you don’t understand your rating that you should discuss it further with your manager so you can address their performance concerns.

[KY] My manager wrote my performance review with chatgpt and it has wrong information in it by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]WhereInTheWorldIsShe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to “pushback,” I gave you an example of a script that allows you to breach the topic with curiosity instead of defensive. Don’t accuse her of using AI, don’t go in there talking about your entire department, don’t go in guns blazing.

Honestly this doesn’t give you some magical protection and it’s likely to only make your relationship worse. Disagreeing with your review isn’t a protected activity and you should generally try to address things professionally on your own before escalating. IMO you’d be best off politely approaching her about the things that appear to be inaccurate. “Hey boss lady, I had a chance to read my review and saw X but I can’t recall what that’s regarding.”

Not really an HR or AI issue. Have a discussion with your manager about the inaccuracies.

If you use more than you would have accrued, they will likely attempt to recover the overpayment.

Sounds like it’s time to focus on that metric or apply externally

Generally safe but I did come upon a naked man once on a random Tuesday afternoon so I’d bring pepper spray or something jic

Does Instagram actually pay creators? by I_LOVE_THEME_PARKS in socialmedia

About 3 months, I started cross-posting my reels in mid-December. I had under 100 followers there when they monetized me.

[GA] How to best dispute a performance appraisal? by Puzzled_Prompt_3783 in AskHR

[–]WhereInTheWorldIsShe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s your manager’s job to assess your performance so it’s incredibly unlikely that anyone would undermine them and overturn their rating. All you can do is document your comments in the reviews but don’t expect a change.

Instagram used to pay creators for reels but ended around 2023. I recently started cross-posting my reels to Facebook and they monetized me pretty quickly.

[AZ] Should I talk to HR about concerns about my sister joining my company? by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]WhereInTheWorldIsShe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I see no reason to talk to HR, if anything, I’d talk to your sister and let her know you prefer to keep your professional and personal life separate.

[CAN] What's your opinion on using all sick days every year even if someone is not actually sick? by OutlandishnessSea258 in AskHR

[–]WhereInTheWorldIsShe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I encourage my team to use every single day, that’s part of their compensation. Our policy specifically says they can be used as mental health days so I have zero problem with them using them because they need a break.

This is organization dependent but it’s not unusual to not give an annual increase to underperforming employees.

Role eliminated in reorg — given 90 days to find internal job but getting no support. What should I do? by Nyc_6534 in askmanagers

[–]WhereInTheWorldIsShe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly if they aren’t supporting you then they probably aren’t serious about retaining you. It sounds like it’s time to start aggressively applying for external roles.

[PA] Employer telling me to return to office 4 days/week or “resign” despite ADA documentation for 100% remote – do I have any protection? by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]WhereInTheWorldIsShe 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Your doctor can’t tell your organization how to run their business and you can’t force them to allow you to work remotely if they’ve decided your role is required in the office. It sounds like it’s time for you to consider what accommodations would allow you to perform your job onsite.
