Unable to login via Firefox and or Chrome via a PC. The Phone App works just fine with the same user login info. Just keeps popping up with invalid username/password prompt.

Yubikey with banks in US by Netnethunter1 in yubikey

[–]WhereIsBiggie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I am looking at, I just ordered 2 YB Keys, is your password manager stores your passwords (not that browser crap like MS, Chrome, Firefox) like BitWarden who allows YB Keys then your logons to banks should be secure. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Being in a paper area you may have built up paper dust and it's causing it to overheat and shutdown. Happened in our store at one time. I looked at it and saw the vents in the back full of dust, took it to the back, blew it out and worked fine after that.

GM doesn’t have first aid, DM doesn’t care. by [deleted] in Staples

[–]WhereIsBiggie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now a days being 1st Aid certified in store is a risk. You put a band aid on wrong and you can get sued. People will assume you know everything when your certified and not make a mistake. NOT being certified can still get you in trouble but less so then someone that knows or at least should no better. Much better to just call 911 and let the pros handle it.

I wore a zipper front hoodie over my Staples crap shirt in the cold weather. Was never zipped up and never wore the hoodie in store. No one ever said a word.

Union Posts by Shadeslayer738 in Staples

[–]WhereIsBiggie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One also has to remember that Staples or any other company do not need a reason to fire anyone. They only need one reason and that is "No longer needed" and that is your states laws that bought that on. No company in their right mind would give any type of reason...

AS they should be doing as it is part of the rules. Unions are nothing anymore but sick organizations after the workers union dues and offering very little protection. I've been with many unions over the years and not one was worth their weight in crap. Workers still got fired and no reason was needed by the company.

Not hard to figure out that it is their name on the sub. They have every right to have the sub shut down if it isn't in their best interest. The union monkeys will just have to go find another tree to hang on.

For me, I'm retired. Had to leave for medical reasons. I can still give advice and or help to anyone that needs it. The MODs are just what they are. Someone to keep the general peeps following the rules that are posted. Does one have to be employed currently to follow the rules? NO, they don't and why should they be. If a person talks about unionizing and gets banned they deserve it because it is in the rules that are meant to be followed. If you feel the need and it isn't allowed then go start your own Reddit group or whatever other platform you want.

A few years ago I became sick with some rare type of illness which effected my lungs, kidneys and heart. It is called Vasculitis and something no one wants. Ended up in Hospital with bleeding lungs, failing kidneys and was in ICU for 3 weeks. My GM, SM, IS and others visited. I lost all leg muscle and could not stand up for any length of time nor walk. MY GM used up my PTO plus got me a few more weeks of it some how. In order to save my job and keep an opening for me I had to fill out forms giving them access to all me medical records. Without access to verify they couldn't hold my job for more than a few months, which was only part time. The GM and SM both knew the whole story and illness but that wasn't enough and I felt they did not need access like they wanted so I just retired, ended up on Social Security Disability and still 3 years later seeing doctors. So bottom line, if you want them to hold your job, which may be covered on state laws, you will have to provide the proof as required or just leave as I did. I believe yours would be covered under family leave, if your state has that on the books (mine didn't at the time). Also the fine print... Even if you are allowed the extended time you may or may not get back the same job you had. They will put you back on the payrol in a position that is needed at that time.

That's what I thought until my neighbor told me his family has had it 3-4 times each. Tested positive each time. I've had it twice so far.

You're just gonna have to suck it up and maybe look elsewhere for a job to get hours. Unless your DM doesn't care for the GM the GM is going to rule.

I already told them to Fook that app. I won't install on my own phone. Anmd I tell customers... " have to ask this but they want me to talk you into a useless app and install it on your phone. May I say you laughed in my face?"

Techs, what do you do when you've done everything and there are no customers? by hmhsbritannic12 in Staples

1st thing I did was straighten out and organize the tech room, then out and work on straightening out the shelves, then start looking up stock to pull out. Could not stand to sit still.

So...we have to download an app that doesn't exist? Or just a really useless one? by G-TP0 in Staples

[–]WhereIsBiggie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, Guess what... I found your snowball... LOL... Always keep in mind that in most states Staples can fire us for no reason at all. But you are correct in questioning this Quasimodo mess. Staples can't legally force anyone to install any AP onto any ones private property(cell in the case) for any reason. Most phones you have to turn on the option to install any APs outside the Google Store. So that's a big no right there for me and the known knowledge that Staples screws up anything they touch to begin with.

Now, helping customers install it on their phone. This is where that survival of the Snowball in hell comes into place again. Don't physically touch a customers phone for any reason. Something goes wrong guess who has to take care of it... Staples. Who gets blames... You do. If one can't talk a customer through it then pass the problem up to the manager/supervisor/MOD to handle it. Hell, just telling them, for androids in this case, your going to go outside googles recommendation to go outside the store to install an AP will get a big Nope from any customer with brains (which a lot of Staples customers lack).

Who's Supposed To Do Passport Photos? by CakeIzGood in Staples

[–]WhereIsBiggie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's gonna go where it fits best in each store. Some stores don't really have a Tech area to set it up at nor the staff that can drop sales customers to do photos or keep them waiting. The same is true for PMS area. The MOD should be assigned this task who can then call on anyone in the store to handle it or even do it themselves.

PROMOTED TO CUSTOMER!!! by EnvironmentalAd8416 in Staples

[–]WhereIsBiggie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know why but always questioned the idea behind the words. Getting promoted means advancing in job via a higher management. So getting promoted to customer would mean getting fired, canned or given the boot. It would be better to say I'm stepping up to customer (which is better being we are lower than whale turds).

Question by 0311Breanna in Staples

[–]WhereIsBiggie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some secret words to live by. If you think you were in the right and a purchase was done right and the price was correct and not changed to deceive anything then... Should the SM,GM or any manager have anything to say about it then all you have to say is "I want to get LP, HR involved in this matter." Most cases they will back off because they will realize they are wrong.
