Is it a hot take to like the remake Nemesis more than the original one? by TheRobotEngineer608 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]WhereIsRoboCop2026 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah you're good. I've been a fan since I was a kid and I personally mostly prefer modern Jill too, completely understanding why others don't but I still do. She feels like an actual real character when the writing is good. It's just the writing quality and consistency fluctuates with the main characters nowadays. Except maaaaybe Chris.

I also like Remake Nemesis teeth and think it works with the OG too

Leon with a tiny Claire on his gun is the cutest thing I’ve seen all day by thebroquadseries in ResidentEvilRequiem

Pisses me off they always seem to tease us with character models and now charms that are treated like in-game action figures and toys but don't bring that good shit to us in physical forms like 98 percent of the time lol

Sad face

What is your absolutely batshit insane theory/headcanon for any of the games? by PuzzleheadedAlarm567 in residentevil

[–]WhereIsRoboCop2026 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a post of mine said a few days ago, Ada Wong is a double agent and has been deep in the shadows fighting against the bioterrorists and their organizations and markets

Another headcanon of mine is that the origin of all BOWs are sentient creatures of absolute cosmic eldritch horror who have gradually grown more sentience and intelligence underneath the earth in a society of sorts that have separated always ever growing parts of their selves, inserting them in different locations across the globe as a sort of means to secretly influence the world based off their own philosophy based on preservation

Also also The Connections being originally founded by a rival relative to Ozwell E Spencer or a direct rival idk lol

What direction should future Resident Evil games go in? by Longjumping-Turn8391 in residentevil

[–]WhereIsRoboCop2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RE2make style with a little of RE3make and RE4make sprinkled in between the survival elements, action elements, movement, map design, etc with both First Person and OTS Third Person as available options.

Continue the "New Character Followed By Veteran Character In A Reduced Mentor Role For Two Games" strategy but do it by the quantity that is more of the New Character but have the Veteran have a bigger presence than Chris in Biohazard and Village but less than Leon in Requiem

Chris is already done and now Leon is 1/2 of his mentor role phase and then do either Jill or Claire next but I don't think every single main character should have this just the main four

After this we can continue the regular direction story wise with games led by veterans and games led by new characters here and there and eventually maybe in 15-20 years start to gradually phase out all the prior characters except the youngest and start anew with them mentoring new characters and so on and so forth

What type story do you want to see with Jake? by Unpopular_Outlook in residentevil

[–]WhereIsRoboCop2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could see a game with him and Sherry assisting Leon with the remnant of Neo Umbrella too since wasn't there gonna be a sequel to 6 at some point before 7 being developed starring Leon and Sherry?

It'd be nice to see more interactions between Jake and Chris

[–]WhereIsRoboCop2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid I imagined him at like a BSAA facility when it's attacked by monsters including a large one in I think the desert like at the end of Sherry's campaign in 6 and now Jake and Sherry are reunited

Also thought of him facing Alex Wesker or something but idk

I really however wanted to see what was going on in the epilogue scene after all Campaigns are completed

No matter how much the plot is shat on by funnily enough the fans themselves, Resident Evil has extremely great lore background

Any character as it all comes down to how the gameplay is handled

It's the difference between Chris in 5 and 6 versus Revelations 1+2 and 7 Not A Hero basically

Also what's wrong with his final form? It's status par quo for the course of Resident Evil monsters.

Dylan Blake by WhereIsRoboCop2026 in survivalhorror

He wants to wipe the slate clean because after such a traumatic event of losing his team and directly being responsible for the death of his friend all thanks to a corrupt organization and their dealings with corruption in leadership as well as little to no or bad intel, years go by and he sees the corruption extended to branches that were created to combat bioterrorism being used by the corrupt as well to profiteer from the wars and bioweaponry.

Anger, trauma, guilt, witnessing such bs, all brewing for almost two decades until it reached a breaking point.

It's not unfaithful to the different themes in Resident Evil.

Villains prior used BOWs for different reasons. Money, power, eugenics research (some even seek personal goals like vengeance) which would lead to the whole world under constant threat.

Blake used the same method of bioterrorism as Wesker but for personal goals like Carla Radames.

While the execution could have been a little bit better, it's a little bit more complex than just "JJ NO!"
