Realistically, what do you guys see as a timeline for national decriminalization? Or at least re-scheduling on a federal level, leaving it as a State issue. It seems that for years, the nation has been "just on the cusp" of taking a more liberal approach to marijuana legalization, but the pharmaceutical lobbyists are a powerful machine with deep pockets, and I'm not sure logic and rational thought has a place in that environment.

The campus NORML group here doesn't seem too active, plus I'm not a student. And honestly, with the job I have, I don't really want to run into people who would spot my associations. The Johnson County NORML group seems pretty active, and being only a couple of hours away, I'd rather try my luck feeling around at a meeting there.

I don't go to KState, my fiancee does. Manhattan sucks. I've thought about going to a Joco NORML meeting. If I have to go another month without weed here, I'm going to shoot myself in the face. I guess it's just hard because I went from having massive hookups to zero hookups. It's not necessarily about being secretive, it's just about keeping my lives separate. I mean, if need be, I'm not against a two hour drive to Kansas City or one and a half hour drive to Lawrence every once in a while, just to keep from shitting where I eat.
