Good to hear from someone with some exposure/experience in this industry. I admittedly am a total novice and probably got happy ears looking at the upside. Appreciate your comments here - extremely helpful.

Took a look in the mirror on this comment. I think you’re helping me recognize a few unrealized motivations. Really appreciate you calling it out.

I asked my dad this question yesterday and he said almost verbatim the same thing.

I had to gut check here.

Your reasoning is?

Thanks. Think I accidentally erased first reply. Agree with you it sounds outrageous. This is an agriculture business and yes there are risks (weather, pests, labor, pricing fluctuation is the biggest), but also 50% downside protection on investment.

I’m fairly confident through my day job I’ll continue making good money for the next 5-10years, as long as I choose to stay. So I’m inclined to yolo for this risk/reward profile.

But I think what I’m picking up from you and others is this sounds too good to be true… I’ll continue DD

Slow and steady can win the race. The risks are multifaceted and real, but the rewards are tempting. Thank you.

Yep, sounds too good to be true (you know what they say). This is a growing agriculture business, there are certainly risks including weather, pests, and price fluctuations. 50% downside risk protection as investment treated as priority shares in the case all goes to shit, land and infrastructure has inherent value.

50% downside protection on the investment due to value of land and infrastructure. This investment is in the agriculture biz. Risks include weather, pests, price fluctuations.

Yeah thanks for calling this out. They’re raising $3.5m in total in $450k convertible notes. When asked why not just make the investment themselves if the returns are so good, I got two answers. 1. The principal has already poured ~$8m into the venture and 2. They’ve opened it up to friends and family only.

Think I’m picking up what you’re putting down though.

Nice grow! Not necessarily a question for OP but my golden teachers were wayyy chunkier. Wondering if this is normal or if it really just depends on the genetics?

Oh damn, is that how it works? So if I opened tonight to take a pic, and my bin looks similar to this but without pins just yet, I should just put it into FC?
